Samantha did gymnastics for 22 years. She grew up in Indiana and became the youngest member of the USA National Team at age 12. From then, she was traveling overseas competing for Team USA. Among those competitions, she was part of the World Championship gold medal winning team that made history and the following year became an Olympic silver medalist for Team USA.
After the Olympics, she accepted a full ride scholarship to UCLA where she became a 3X NCAA Champion and 17X All-American. Her love for sports continued as she became a sports broadcaster for the PAC-12 Networks and has since moved to ESPN and most recently was the broadcaster for the Olympics on NBC Prime Time.
In college, She earned the Bruin Leadership award, which inspired her to create Beam Queen Bootcamp. It happens to be a mix of her favorite things: motivating young gymnasts, traveling, and BEAM! She loves helping gymnasts accomplish their goals and always reminds her BQBC gymnasts that they can do anything they set their mind to. Samantha is the founder/CEO and is extremely proud of how this community continues to grow.

Other than BQBC, Samantha loves playing cards, walks, and good food!
Sydney did gymnastics for 21 years. She grew up training in Georgia and then continued her career at Iowa State, competing collegiately for 5 years. During Sydney's time at ISU, she discovered her passion for videography and immediately knew that video was what she wanted to pursue full time. Sydney worked closely with Iowa State’s athletics for 2 years, where she had opportunities to film with each sport, as well as NFL and NBA teams.
Once graduating college, it was no question that finding a job that combined both gymnastics and videography was a must. She started working as a freelancer with Beam Queen in 2021, became full- time by the end of the year and has never looked back!
Sydney loves coffee, Aritzia, traveling, and sushi. She has a Tik Tok with over 9M views, studied abroad, and is adopted.
Megan was a gymnast for 21 years! She grew up training in Georgia, competed on the USA National Team, then continued her career at the University of Florida, where she competed for 5 years! At UF, she became a 12X All American and an SEC Beam Champion!
In 2021, Megan interned with Beam Queen and traveled to every BQBC event! Not only did she have the BEST summer ever, but that Beam Queen summer helped her rediscover her competitive confidence! During the 2022 NCAA Gymnastics season, she hit 58 out of 58 competitive routines, but most importantly, she learned to believe in herself and just enjoy doing the sport she loves.
Now, as the Beam Queen Operations Coordinator, Megan loves doing work that brings gymnasts together to accomplish their goals and believe in themselves!
Your gymnasts can’t have all the fun here, right?! As much as I want them to learn my beam curriculum, it’s just as important (if not more) that I share with YOU what I’ve learned along the way. In terms of technique, simple is better. Simple corrections, simple drills… just keep it simple. This is why I’ve created the TRIPLE THREAT or the 3 rules of beam, so gymnasts can understand the foundation of beam and when things go wrong, it’s just easy to remember.
I also want to share my relationship with my coach. It wasn’t perfect, but it was pretty close. We had the healthiest coach/athlete relationship and the best part about it was he knew when to push me and when to pull back. He pushed me to my potential and believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. I mean c’mon, how do you convince an athlete who was once too afraid to do a roundoff back handspring that she would be learning a double double?!
My philosophy is “the more knowledge & information you know, the better you can be as a coach, as an educator, as a mentor, and as a person.” If my stories or perspective help you in some way, great…that’s the point! I’ve put together a specific coaches curriculum- explanation of what your athletes will be learning, important qualities of a healthy coach/athlete relationship, and a chance to meet with me at the BQBC event to ask me any questions you’d like. So, head on over to the registration site to sign up for the closest location near you- Availability is limited!(You must also be SafeSport Certified to sign up!)
Did you know that we have a Parent Talk section of our online community, The Club?!
Yep, we wanted to launch something special just for parents. We believe gymnastics is the hardest sport in the world, so we know it's equally as tough to navigate as a parent.
There is no doubt that gymnastics is a tool for building champions. We believe champions are gymnasts who work hard and persevere, they may not always be on the top of the award stand, but they are kind, caring, compassionate, intelligent, incredible, young people. After all, isn’t that what we want – to insure our daughters are good people and will be our future leaders?...
So, check out our videos on how to help your gymnast gain confidence or watch our skill videos that will surely help you impress your daughter with correct skill names!
We've also started launching live digital events JUST for parents, so don't forget to check our digital events tab to see what we have coming up! Lastly, please let us know if you have specific topics, questions, or anything we can do to help steer you in the right direction of this crazy world called GYMNASTICS!
“BQBC exceeded every expectation I had and was well worth the money for the entirety of what we took away from the experience. This event helps gymnasts see both the fun and mental aspects of gymnastics, while also presenting them with tangible tactics and resources to implement in their regular practices. The journaling and visualization station was such a unique and meaningful exercise for my daughter that she would not otherwise have gotten the chance to experience. My daughter arrived at BQBC not knowing a soul and came away from the weekend with 5 new friends because of Sam’s ability to lead the girls out of their comfort zone to work together in a fun and positive way. My daughter said it was the best day of her life.”
“My mom paid long in advance before I had my surgery for this Bootcamp, we weren't 100% sure as to how things would go down. However, when I attended the event, I felt more confident, motivated and in general, optimistic for the road ahead of me & returning back from training. Now, I always think of the tricks I learned at Beam Queen Bootcamp & apply them to my training. Not only was BQBC supportive of my injury, I think it played a huge role in my recovery.”
“My daughter competed her first meet last weekend & scored a 9.45 on beam & took first place. Thank you so much for the confidence you gave her as this is becoming one of her favorite events now. Your BQBC is amazing & my daughter will forever remember what she learned.”
“Beam Queen Bootcamp was by far the best gymnastics experiences we've had. She was joyful to see her idols & thrilled to work with the amazing coaches there. As soon as we got in the car after the Bootcamp, the first thing she asked me was if she could go to ALL the BQBCs!”
“Last summer BQBC came to Utah and I was thrilled to be able to send my daughter. It was well run, positive, motivating, fun and empowering. I can’t say enough good about this camp. I hope every girl gets the opportunity to attend one and I will definitely be sending my daughter again if the opportunity arises!”
“Beam has never been a favorite event for my daughter, I actually knew in my heart that if she ever quit gymnastics it would be because of beam. I knew if we didn’t do something to build her confidence, it would start to hold her back. I am not going to lie, she was not excited about just doing her least favorite event for two days. Especially, by herself without the comfort of her teammates. She is painfully introverted and shy, but pushing her outside her comfort zone turned out to be just what she needed. In the weeks to follow, she was so excited to tell me about all of the new skills she was accomplishing on BEAM! Whatever they teach at BQBC is working and sinking in because the after effects I've seen are amazing! Regardless of what happens in the gym, I know that the confidence building skills she learned at Beam Queen will help her in every aspect of you life.”
“My daughter had been off for most of a year with an injury, surgery, & rehab. Beam Queen was an amazing part of her return to beam. Everyone at camp is so positive & uplifting. The entire experience is about sharing, working through challenges & tricks for the part of beam that happens above the shoulders. She still returns to the mindful pieces that she learned from Sam & the team. HIGHLY recommend going, maybe especially if you are on the mend from an injury.”
“My daughter attended BQBC last summer. She had her first meet last weekend and scored the highest she ever has on beam (and was 1st on beam in her age bracket!). Beam is usually her lowest scoring event and this time it was her highest event score! She said BQBC helped her. I have never seen her more confident in her beam skills.”
“It was the most fun that I've ever had. I got over many mental blocks and gained more confidence in myself!”
“Beam is my 14 year-old daughters arch nemesis. She came away with a clearly refreshed attitude about beam, and went from being very hesitant about the clinic to very thankful that she went. The messages the team conveyed during the open question time was so great! I loved that the girls got to hear the stories of struggle and success. I am very happy to call you and your team a role model for my daughter. Keep up the amazing work! You are changing lives, without question. Luan is amazing as well!”
“My daughter attended the Beam Queen Bootcamp and it was everything I was hoping it would be and more! The staff was amazing. They were full of positive energy and really had a way with the girls. My daughter left with a sense of accomplishment, some tips and tricks for the beam - and for LIFE!!! Thank you to Sam Peszek and the Beam Queen Bootcamp for empowering our daughters and teaching them to be resilient, how to be strong on the inside and how to exude confidence! My daughter is looking forward to going back again and again!”
“Beam was my daughter's nemesis last season and she struggled with the fear of going backwards. It's now her favorite event. For Kayla, hearing that Olympic gymnasts struggled with the same fears and hurdles in their career has boosted her confidence and has given her permission to fail forward. We've seen tremendous growth since BQBC and her joy for the sport is through the roof. It's amazing what the girls accomplish in just 2 days at BQBC.”
